Ryerson is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. You will engage customers by phone and email, collaborate with internal and external partners, and tailor metal product solutions to meet client needs.

Responsibilities include interpreting prints/CAD files, assessing tolerances and materials, estimating costs, and supporting contract pricing as awarded. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in metal sales and proficiency with SAP and MS Office.

Formación

• 1–3 years of sales experience in the metal industry.
• Print reading required; CAD or drafting experience a plus.
• Experience with SAP is highly preferred.
• MS Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong math and geometry skills; technical aptitude.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret and qualify customer‑provided documents such as prints, CAD files, and specifications
• Full understanding of tolerances, materials, specifications, and processing options that will guide a robust metal supply chain creation
• Manage part specific supply chains by utilizing internal and external processing assets to meet customer quality and delivery requirements
• Estimate material, labor, and delivery options on a part‑level basis and develop contract pricing templates based on awarded work
• Evaluating sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization’s quality standards
• Conducting technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer‑specific prices
• All other duties as assigned
