Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance professional to support our industrial steel production facilities. You will troubleshoot high voltage systems, diagnose substation issues, and ensure reliability of electrical and control systems across the plant.

The role requires knowledge of grounding, arc flash safety, and predictive maintenance, with hands-on experience in PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years electrical maintenance experience preferred.
CMMS experience preferred.
PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
Grounding systems knowledge required.
Electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
Experience with relay control and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot Medium/High Voltage equipment for an industrial steel production facility.
Diagnose and remedy complex power irregularities and substation problems.
Install, monitor, inspect and ensure reliability of electrical control systems and process equipment.
Lead annual testing and inspection requirements for the facility.
Maintain electromechanical starters and motors with PLC/ HMIs and instrumentation.
Procure parts to ensure timely maintenance of equipment.
Assists in developing team members' skills and knowledge.
Provide supervisory support as Shift Supervisor when needed.
Document manuals, drawings, schematics, and maintenance logs.
