Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist to keep conveyors, robots, and CNC assets operating at peak output. You will diagnose issues using electrical schematics and PLC logic, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in the CMMS.

Responsibilities include working with 120–480V systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, and building automation, ensuring safety and minimal downtime on the production line.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in Electromechanical Tech, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or similar (Associate’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and 480V three-phase power capability.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues across automated machinery, conveyors, robotics, and CNC assets.
  • Use schematics, PLC ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and meters to pinpoint problems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per PM intervals.
  • Work on 120–480V systems, including motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, and panels.
  • Service hydraulics and pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and building automation.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure safe return to service.
  • Document all work in the CMMS with history and traceability.
  • Follow LOTO, OSHA standards and safety policies; coordinate downtime with production.

Grow with Ashley Furniture as an Industrial Mechatronics Maintenance Specialist Picture your day: production kicks off, and you’re the expert who keeps conveyors humming, robots calibrated, and CNC equipment ready for peak output. You dive into electrical schematics, follow PLC logic, check HMIs, and use diagnostic tools to find and fix root causes fast—because every minute matters on the line.

What you’ll tackle
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across automated machinery, material handling systems, conveyors, robotics, and CNC assets.
  • Use electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and meters/scopes to pinpoint problems and implement lasting fixes.
  • Execute preventive maintenance—inspect, lubricate, adjust, and replace components—according to established PM intervals.
  • Work confidently on 120–480V systems, including three-phase motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
  • Service hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, and other power‑transmission elements.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems.
  • Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and return equipment to service safely.
  • Document all work accurately in the CMMS, maintaining history and traceability.
  • Follow LOTO, OSHA standards, and company safety policies—safety is non‑negotiable.
  • Coordinate with production to schedule work during planned downtime and communicate status to leaders.
Qualifications
  • Technical degree/certification in Electromechanical Tech, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or similar (Associate’s preferred).
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills; safe work on 480V three-phase power.
  • Mechanical proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and industrial machinery.
  • PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic literacy (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or comparable).
  • Fluent reading of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical prints, and P&IDs.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
  • Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent.
  • Hands‑on VFD setup, programming, and diagnostics.
  • Welding/fabrication for repairs and modifications.
  • Experience with industrial robots and automation cells.
  • Comfort with CMMS for work orders and history.
  • Lean/Six Sigma familiarity and a continuous improvement mindset.
