Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift at our Mississippi plant. You will direct day-to-day maintenance activities, assign tasks, and coordinate Machine Maintenance and Electro/Mechanical Tech resources to support production and distribution needs.

You will work with production management on maintenance, training and operation of equipment, while promoting continuous improvement across Ashley locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate Degree in Supervisory Management or related field is desired.
• 2 years in a manufacturing or distribution center environment is required.
• Previous experience in supervision is required.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse equipment and department processes is required.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all activities/persons associated with the direction and support of maintenance functions at a given Ashley location. This could include building, machine, and supports groups depending upon the location.

Work Environment

This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
