Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Machine Technician to maintain and repair electromechanical drives, sensors and automated machinery to support manufacturing. You will troubleshoot CNC/PLC controlled equipment, perform electrical/mechanical repairs and develop knowledge of control systems in the factory.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a high production setting, understand LOTO, and can use a range of shop and testing tools.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years in a high production environment preferred.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing CNC/PLC controlled manufacturing equipment, along with motor controls and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience working with three phase power as well as a variety of different control voltages is a plus.
  • Must understand Lock out tag out procedures (LOTO).
  • Ability to use all shop tools and testing equipment.

What Will You Do?

The Machine Technician will maintain and repair electromechanical drives, sensors and automated machinery while working with maintenance and engineers to install and evaluate electromechanical systems to support the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, test and repair electronic production equipment.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as required to maintain all processes in the factory.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all electromechanical control systems in the factory.
  • Notify appropriate management personnel and assist in the solution of the problems.

What Do You Need?
Education
  • General High School coursework.
  • Associates Degree in applicable field preferred but not required
Experience
  • 3 to 5 years in a high production environment preferred
