Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent Mechanical/Process estimating experience considered.
• Experience in mechanical/process estimating for industrial construction or large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, HVAC, and utilities.
• Experience evaluating subcontractor bids and developing labor/material costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical and process construction scopes on large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for process piping, mechanical equipment, HVAC, utilities, and related systems.
• Review drawings, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Develop estimates for labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate mechanical subcontractor and vendor proposals for pricing accuracy and completeness.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, risks, and opportunities for value engineering.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout preconstruction and execution.
• Participate in design-build estimating, conceptual budgeting, bid reviews, and estimate reconciliation.
• Provide cost comparisons and recommendations for alternative mechanical systems.
