Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Mechanical/Process Estimator for large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects. You will develop and review cost estimates for mechanical and process scopes, perform quantity takeoffs, and analyze subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing.

The role requires strong understanding of piping, HVAC, utilities, and mechanical equipment, with proficiency in Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Eng, or related field preferred; equivalent Mechanical/Process estimating will be considered.
• Experience in mechanical/process estimating for industrial construction.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, equipment layouts, and technical specs.
• Proficiency with Excel and construction estimating software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical and process construction scopes on large-scale industrial projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for piping, equipment, HVAC, utilities, and related systems.
• Review drawings, isometrics, layouts, specs, and bid documents to determine requirements.
• Develop estimates for labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, installation, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids for scope completeness and pricing accuracy.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and opportunities for value engineering.
