Job summary

Pratt Industries Inc in New York seeks a hands-on Mechanical Foreman to lead the Sort Line Department. The role has no direct reports, but you will coordinate staffing needs with the Sort Line Subcontractor and ensure consistent maintenance across equipment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of industrial mechanical experience, 3+ years in supervision, and strong leadership with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience utilizing industrial mechanical skills, preferably in a recycling environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Supervisory role.
• Along with strong communication skills, must possess excellent problem solving skills, decision making ability and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of Sort Line and Yard equipment with minimal downtime.
• Develop a preventive maintenance strategy for Sort Line.
• Maintenance record keeping and documentation.
• Ensure safe operations.
• Train Operators on basic maintenance.
• Coordinate staffing needs with Sort Line Subcontractor.
• All safety and compliance.
