IMI Industrial Services Group is a full-time Mechanical Engineer local to the Athens, GA area. The role focuses on creating mechanical and structural designs for industrial and commercial projects, coordinating with architects, engineers and fabricators to ensure accurate, efficient delivery.

You will prepare detailed drawings, develop BOMs, and assist project teams through design, fabrication, and installation stages, while maintaining compliance with specs and client requirements.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree required in mechanical/structural design.
• Minimum of two years mechanical design or structural detailing experience.
• Recent experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Create mechanical and structural designs for industrial and commercial projects.
• Prepare detail drawings for client approval and assist project managers, estimators, fabricators, and erectors.
• Utilize CAD to prepare detailed designs of mechanical systems and assemblies.
• Develop electromechanical products by studying requirements and testing methods.
• Create bills of materials to estimate cost.
• Coordinate projects with sales and production departments.
• Check drawings to minimize risk of error.
• Provide timely responses to inquiries from purchasing, production, and installation teams.
