Job summary

Olsson is seeking Summer 2027 student interns for our Industrial Facilities Engineering and Design team. You will assist in creating construction documents and specifications alongside experienced engineers, contributing to projects like ethanol plant improvements and greenfield designs.

You will gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling, HVAC design, and coordination with architects and structural teams while developing through a flexible, mentor-supported environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling tools.
• Coursework or experience in HVAC design or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, IMC).
• Interest in mechanical systems for industrial facilities, including ventilation and process cooling.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
