Job summary

Sibelco Nordic Ab in Sarasota is seeking an Industrial Mechanic II to keep our facility running and support production through skilled maintenance.

You will perform mechanical tasks on conveyors, gears, valves, and lifting machinery; work with lean manufacturing practices; PLC experience a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Electronic experience preferred.
• Strong experience with mechanical conveyors.
• Glass processing knowledge a plus.
• PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work including changing bearings, belts, and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyors
• Clean and replace pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines; maintain organized work area
• Communicate equipment issues with mechanics and supervisors across shifts
• Conduct PM and repairs on bucket elevators, screw conveyors, forklifts, front-end loaders, and sweepers
• Install facility machinery as needed

Your Impact in This Role

As a Maintenance Technician , your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform mechanical work including changing bearings, belts, and idler pulleys on trough-style conveyors
• Clean and replace pneumatic valves on optical sorting machines; maintain organized work area
• Communicate equipment issues with mechanics and supervisors across shifts
