Job summary

Genpak is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain production equipment in a 12-hour shift environment. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and support line changeovers while adhering to GMP and SQF standards.

The role requires strong hands-on fabrication, repair skills and the ability to work across plant areas, including material handling and equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Must troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical systems as they arise.
• Experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics and mechanical drawings.
• 2+ years in automated production line maintenance preferred.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Forklift, scissor lift and articulating boom lift operation training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain extruders, thermoformers, chillers, conveyors, pumps and other production equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as directed.
• Complete line changeovers and assist with GMP/SQF compliant cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintain parts inventories and requisition needs.
• Operate and troubleshoot high speed automation equipment including bagging, case erecting, sealing, and palletizing systems.
