Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment across the facility. The role requires hands-on maintenance in a manufacturing environment with 12-hour rotating shifts and adherence to GMP, safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree (preferred), 2 years of maintenance experience, and strong skills in reading schematics, micrometers and operating mill/lathe

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480 volts and DC drive systems.
• Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair vacuum conveying systems.
• Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, micrometers and operate a mill/lathe.
• Previous extrusion and PLC experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair problems encountered during day-to-day operations of the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance to prevent downtime and deterioration.
• Work on projects for growth, expansion and safe operation of the plant.
• Collaborate with outside contractors for installation or service.
• Assist machine operators to minimize downtime and support changeovers.
• Comply with policies and procedures including quality and GMP.
