Job summary

Huhtamaki is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our packaging equipment running safely and efficiently in Indiana. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, replace parts, and document repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires a High School diploma, an associate degree preferred, and at least three years of industrial troubleshooting, programming, and repair experience. Forklift certification and ability to work in a manufacturing environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical engineering or industrial controls preferred.
• Three years of experience with industrial troubleshooting, programming, and repairing.

Responsibilities

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Adjusts or replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, measuring tools, and hand and power tools. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders.
• Maintains safety and GMP/PPE compliance and works in a manufacturing environment.
