Huhtamaki, Inc. in Indiana seeks a skilled maintenance technician to locate and repair problems in mechanical systems, adjust or replace parts, and fabricate repair components on the shop floor.

You will follow GMP and PPE rules, perform preventative maintenance, maintain inventories, document actions, and communicate clearly with production teams, while meeting forklift certification requirements and ensuring safe operations daily.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Three years of industrial troubleshooting, programming, and repair experience.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain annual certification.
• Must have strong reading, math, and industrial safety understanding.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Adjusts or replaces defective parts by dismantling devices and using hoists, cranes, measuring tools, and hand and power tools.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock and expediting orders as needed.
• Maintains safety and GMP/PPE compliance and keeps the work environment clean.
• Documents actions and communicates ongoing needs to teams.
