Job summary

Huhtamaki is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Indiana manufacturing site. You will locate sources of mechanical problems, repair and replace parts, and maintain equipment to ensure continuous production.

Responsibilities include documenting actions, maintaining inventories, and upholding safety rules. A High School diploma or GED is required, and an associate degree is preferred. Forklift certification is needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical engineering or industrial controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets policies and procedures; applies them in daily maintenance tasks.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring tools.
• Adjusts or replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; uses hoists, cranes, measuring tools, and hand and power tools.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories; communicates needs and expedites orders when required.
• Ensures safety and GMP compliance; performs work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.
• Operates forklift and maintains certification as required.
