Job summary

North Coast Seafoods is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair processing equipment in our seafood manufacturing plants. You will be proficient with hand and power tools and assist other factory mechanics as needed.

The role reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance/line mechanics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots machinery and performs preventative maintenance.
• Replaces parts and tests/adjusts equipment to meet specs.
• Maintains workspace cleanliness and safety; conducts conveyor belt maintenance and repair.
• Performs electrical work such as motor replacement and basic wiring; mechanical work including bearings, gears, sprockets, chains and belts.
