Job summary

North Coast Seafoods is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair processing equipment across our seafood manufacturing plants. The role involves hands-on work with hand and power tools under the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial maintenance/line mechanics, with experience in packaging equipment preferred and a strong mechanical/electrical/plumbing background.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or line mechanics.
• Experience with packaging equipment preferred.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety.
• Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots machinery.
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Replaces parts of machines as needed.
• Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
• Maintains and repairs conveyor belts.
• Performs electrical work such as motor replacement and basic wiring.
• Performs mechanical work including bearings, gears, sprockets and chains.
