Job summary

Linde Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to plan and perform installation, maintenance, and inspections on compressors, turbines, pumps, and other rotating equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience in mechanical and rotating equipment within an industrial setting, with hands-on skills in installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing these systems; machinist or millwright apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, precision measuring instruments, and equipment alignment for multi-train systems.
• Vibration analysis and dynamic balancing while maintaining accurate documentation and proficiency in maintenance and enterprise asset management systems; machinist or millwright apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections on rotating systems.
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, hydrogen generators, piping systems, and related process equipment.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and support root cause analysis for major failures.
• Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimation, and resolution of chronic mechanical asset concerns.
• Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities in CMMS and the Oil and Vibrations Predictive Program.
• Perform office and field work, escalate technical concerns, and access elevated equipment safely.
