Job summary

Linde plc in Delaware City, DE seeks an experienced maintenance professional to plan and execute installation, overhaul, and inspection of industrial mechanical and rotating systems, including compressors, turbines, and heat exchangers.

You will support water treatment, H2 generators, and piping, contribute to turnaround planning and cost estimation, and lead root-cause analyses while maintaining meticulous equipment documentation in our CMMS and predictive programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in maintenance of mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial setting.
• Experience with compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for industrial mechanical systems.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices and perform precision alignment on multi-train equipment.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills; familiarity with CMMS systems.
• Understanding of regulatory and industry standards; apprenticeship is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in vibration analysis and dynamic balancing.
• Comfort with confined spaces, climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems and equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cooling towers).
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and other process equipment.
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify chronic asset concerns.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and support root-cause analysis for major failures.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance activities in EAM/CMMS and uphold predictive maintenance programs.
• Work independently, making technical decisions and escalating concerns as needed.
• Perform office and field work; access elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets.
