Job summary

Linde is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sulphur, LA to install, maintain, and inspect mechanical and rotating systems, including compressors and turbines. You will support water treatment systems, vaporizers, H2 generators, and piping while contributing to turnaround planning and cost estimation.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, proficiency with CMMS, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years' experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with installation, inspection, and repair of compressors, turbines, heat exchangers.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance for industrial mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform precision alignment on multi-train equipment.
• Strong documentation and CMMS usage skills.
• Experience with vibration analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of mechanical and rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cooling towers).
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping, and related process equipment.
• Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation for mechanical work; identify and resolve asset issues.
• Conduct periodic inspections; support root cause analysis for major failures.
• Maintain maintenance activity documentation in EAM and support predictive programs.
• Work independently, making technical decisions and escalating when needed.
• Perform office and field work, with off-hours accessibility and use of ladders/scaffolding/cranes.
