Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wilson, NC to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled machinery. You will troubleshoot complex issues, complete repairs, and document maintenance activities.

You will coordinate with reliability initiatives, support root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA and NFPA.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree (or equivalent) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, mechanical systems, electrical systems, robotics, and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment including motors, drives, pumps, conveyors, electrical panels, and automation components.
• Execute equipment rebuilds, upgrades, and modifications to improve reliability or performance.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Utilize CMMS to document work, track parts usage, and update equipment records.
• Coordinate and oversee external contractors as needed.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement projects.
• Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and recommend critical spares.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NFPA, and internal safety policies.
