Job summary

ST Engineering Hackney, Inc is seeking a maintenance associate to assist with installation and ongoing maintenance across refrigeration, mechanical, and carpentry tasks. You will help keep facilities clean, safe, and compliant with regulations, reporting issues to your supervisor as needed.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and material handling equipment, following safety guidelines, and contributing to a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to comply with government regulations. Training will be included upon assignment to such duties.
• 4. Basic welding skills.
• General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance. Good mechanical and construction aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance (refrigeration, mechanical, carpentry, etc.)
• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.
• Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor.
• Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools in clean orderly condition.
• Promote 5S concept of order and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned.
