Job Focus: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, refrigeration systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role emphasizes preventive and predictive maintenance, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to minimize downtime and support operational performance goals.Shifts: Variable, depending on production and company needs.Overtime: As necessary.Description of Work Place:Work is performed in a refrigerated food-production and warehouse environment (approximately 35°F–45°F) containing conveyors, grinders, slicers, pallet-handling systems, and other industrial equipment. The environment may involve wet floors, elevated noise levels, tight spaces, and frequent interaction with production personnel.Description of Job tasks:Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.Repair, replace, and install motors, bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, sensors, valves, and wiring.Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, temperature controls, and associated components (EPA-compliant).Calibrate instrumentation, sensors, and control devices to maintain operational accuracy.Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.Safely perform and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, food safety requirements, GMPs, and company safety policies.Document maintenance activities in the CMMS.Maintain spare-parts inventory.Collaborate cross-functionally and support continuous improvement.Train operators and junior maintenance staff.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical training preferredEPA 608 Certification preferredForklift certification or ability to obtainExperience & Skills:1+ years industrial maintenance experienceMechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsCMMS experienceWelding and fabrication experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Lift up to 80 lbsStand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periodsWork in cold, wet, and noisy environmentsBenefits:401(k) matchingMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceFlexible Spending Account & Dependent Flexible Spending AccountLife insuranceEmployee assistance programsEmployee order discountPaid Time Off & Paid Sick LeaveGym Reimbursement
