Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the High Purity Quartz Maintenance Team in Spruce Pine, NC. The role focuses on preventive and curative actions to keep production running, repair mechanical systems, and implement improvements per technical drawings and procedures.

You will interpret drawings, diagnose issues with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics, and document findings in the Mendix system. English fluency and a safety-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• A2 Mechanics or equivalent by experience.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of lifting and hoisting techniques and welding.
• Knowledge of general safety rules and regulations.
• Forklift certification required or in process.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Interpret processes, drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams, procedures, etc.
• Signal malfunctions and improvements and register findings in Mendix.
• Perform repairs for mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
