Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in South Windsor to perform maintenance and repair on facility machinery. You will troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, install and fabricate components, and support external technicians while ensuring safety and clean, organized work practices.

Ideal candidates will have mechanics experience, forklift certification, and strong English reading skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic principles of mechanical troubleshooting and repair (able to perform the task with no supervision).
• Knowledge of inspection and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment (trained, may require supervision).
• Certificate to drive the forklift.
• Technical English – read and understand text.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of facility machinery with emphasis on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Install and fabricate components; replace or repair parts using tools and drawings.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance; apply life-saving rules and LOTOTO.
• Maintain daily maintenance and repair logs and keep work area clean.
• Support external technicians and coordinate with other departments as needed.
