Job summary

Sibelco is seeking a Technician Maintenance in Spruce Pine, NC. The role supports the High Purity Quartz Maintenance Team by performing preventive and corrective actions, maintaining and repairing installations, and implementing improvements to keep production running smoothly.

You will interpret drawings and diagrams, diagnose malfunctions, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with safety first. English fluency and forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• A2 Mechanics or equivalent by experience.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Knowledge of materials and techniques (lifting and hoisting techniques, welding techniques) with execution of operational activities.
• Knowledge of general technical regulations and safety rules.
• Certificate to drive the forklift.
• Fluency in the local language and written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Correctly interpret the processes, drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams, procedures, etc.
• Signal malfunctions and improvements and register findings in the relevant IT system Mendix
• Repairs (mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic) as needed.
