Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment at our Gurnee, IL facility. You will troubleshoot mechanical failures, carry out repairs, manage materials with supervision, and uphold all safety programs.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, fluent English, ability to lift 50 pounds; five years of maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Five years maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 480-volt 3 Phase power.
• Read and interpret ladder logic and diagrams.
• Must lift 50 pounds.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance on the processing equipment.
• Identifies problems, collects data, draws valid conclusions, and carries out repairs to restore equipment.
• Identifies materials needed, obtains pricing, and orders with Supervisor approval.
• Interfaces with operations personnel and outside contractors regarding work orders.
• Adheres to all facility safety programs.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
