Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is looking for a Maintenance Worker in Charlotte, NC to oversee regular preventive maintenance on large textile processing equipment and assist the Chief Engineer. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and reliability in a fast-paced facility.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, and be proficient with power and hand tools. You will work with a team and report to the Chief Engineer, ensuring compliance with safety rules

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency preferred.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, perform basic math, good time management and team member skills.
• Must be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties on large industrial textile processing equipment.
• Assist Maintenance Technician and Chief Engineer as required.
• Monitor oil levels and grease fittings; troubleshoot limited electrical issues.
• Follow directions and established guidelines to complete tasks.
• Maintain safety and quality standards; minimize equipment downtime.
• Drive and pick up parts and transport equipment as needed.
