Job summary

thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies in Illinois is seeking a maintenance technician to perform machine maintenance and daily checks on plant equipment. You will diagnose malfunctions, repair systems, and participate in preventative maintenance per OEM manuals.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems, plus the ability to convert metric to standard and solve problems in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical.
• Ability to convert metric to standard and basic mathematical ability.
• Excellent reasoning and problem solving ability.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine maintenance and daily maintenance checks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, update and repair malfunctioning plant equipment.
• Perform routine mechanical or machining maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct daily checks of plant support systems and document readings.
• Maintain records of work orders, repairs and parts used.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs per OEM manuals.
