Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform regular preventative maintenance on large industrial textile processing equipment and assist the Chief Engineer. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and minimal downtime, with opportunities to collaborate with plant personnel.

You will follow established guidelines, handle basic electrical troubleshooting, operate power tools, and participate in ongoing quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to comprehend and follow direction; perform basic math; good time management; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance on equipment, monitor oil levels, and assist in electrical troubleshooting as needed.
• Follow instructions and established guidelines to complete maintenance tasks.
• Support in problem resolution to minimize equipment downtime and look for process improvements.
• Work with plant personnel in a cooperative and professional manner.
• Adhere to safety rules, policies, and procedures and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
