Job summary

Bodycote, based in Wichita, KS, seeks a Maintenance Tech to maintain and repair equipment, facilities, and vehicles under the General Manager’s guidance. The role focuses on reducing downtime, improving production quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.

The candidate will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and documentation per company and manufacturer guidelines, while complying with ITAR and safety policies.

Qualifications

• This position requires ITAR compliance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
• Education: College/technical degree in maintenance preferred; HS diploma with 3–5 years maintenance experience acceptable.
• Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Ability to function as an effective team member and communicate well.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills; follow procedures and prioritize work.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement the facility’s preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, oils, filters, and related items; report issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized Maintenance Department area; clean up after work."
• Assist in equipment performance testing per guidelines.
• Perform corrective actions for out-of-spec conditions as directed.
• Assist in troubleshooting to maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
• Document all maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
• Maintain manuals and blueprints; share updates as required.
• Run errands and pick up materials and supplies as needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely and courteously.
