Job summary

Anderson Dahlen in Ramsey, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure uninterrupted production by maintaining facilities and equipment used at the site. The role requires repairing, installing, and servicing machinery, structures, and electrical systems with adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include following blueprints and schematics, performing light machining and welding, lubricating components, and using maintenance software for records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or machine tool operation.
• 2 years of vocational or associate degree in machine tool or related technical discipline preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and usage of basic hand/power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to perform light-duty machining and welding.
• Experience in diagnosing pneumatic and hydraulic systems problems.
• 3-phase high voltage and DC electrical knowledge required.
• Experience with metal fabrication equipment, including press brakes, welders, shears, grinders, sanders, CNC mills, and lathes, is helpful.
• Basic PC skills

Responsibilities

• Repairs, installs, and maintains machinery, equipment, physical structures, and electrical systems by following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Dismantles machines and equipment to install new or repaired parts.
• May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• May fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other structures of general construction, and participate in moving office partitions and furniture.
• Utilization and records updates within the company’s maintenance control software.
• Inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Performs repairs and maintenance to the physical structures, buildings, and property.
• Maintains building facilities by making routine repairs, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Support the annual/quarterly tests and inspections, including life safety, building, and equipment.
