Job summary

Cambria in Minnesota seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on processing equipment, troubleshoot system faults, and support installation and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The role also covers mobile equipment maintenance and inventory management.

The position requires an associate degree and 2+ years in automation or related fields, with a focus on safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in industrial automation, mining, processing, or manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with PLCs, HMIs, and reading electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of sensors, actuators, and control devices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer skills for programming and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, mills, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain and repair mobile equipment such as loaders and trucks.
• Inspect equipment for wear and defects and arrange replacements as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory for critical components.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and emergency drills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance and Automation Manager.
