Job summary
BlueScope is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems under limited supervision. You will support preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical problems to ensure continuous production operation.
This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to Zero Harm and Zero Defects principles within a manufacturing environment. On-site work with opportunities for hands-on tooling and automation support.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- ACT WorkKeys assessment at certified profile skill level.
- 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or related training.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on drives, motors, belts, and fluids.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints or manuals.
- Repair machines and building systems with precision tools and testing devices.
- Install and repair electrical components and transformers.
- Support maintenance of roll forming equipment and automated machinery.
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5S housekeeping.
