Job summary

Mars is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Illinois to maintain operating equipment, perform PMs on manufacturing and packaging lines, and document work orders. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, support changeovers, and contribute to downtime reduction.

You'll work with the Maintenance team, train operators on AM activities, and participate in DMS and 90-day loss-elimination plans. A technical background and willingness to develop welding and fabrication skills are

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree/trade certification or 2 years or equivalent manufacturing technician experience.
• Completion of Mars Apprenticeship Program or Co-op.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own PM systems for the Line, focusing on Maintenance Planning and Scheduling and Breakdown Elimination DMS’s.
• Drive results in Planned and Unplanned Downtime and own related costs and PM compliance.
• Breakdown reduction and technical expertise of related equipment; coach and train technicians and operators.
• Owns Anomaly Handling DMS and communicates action plans and completed work.
• Participates in 90-Day loss-elimination plans and FMOS daily meetings.
• Provide performance data for selected machines and support corrective actions.
