Job summary

Primary Staffing Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations in a fast-paced industrial environment in Illinois. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance to keep equipment reliable and downtime to a minimum.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to service calls, develop weekly plans, and coordinate with plant managers and external vendors. Overtime and weekend availability are required in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience performing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues independently.
• Welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform daily safety checks and equipment inspections.
• Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance issues.
• Develop and follow weekly maintenance plans.
• Prepare daily reports and monthly preventative maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting production.
• Order, stock, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
• Provide monthly cost reduction recommendations.
• Coordinate with external maintenance vendors and services.
• Prepare facility for audits and vendor visits.
• Operate forklifts and lifting equipment as needed
