Job summary

Corning is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment runs efficiently through preventive maintenance, calibration, and prompt breakdown repair. The role emphasizes strong hands-on skills with a wide range of tools and meters in a manufacturing setting.

We expect proficiency with volt/ohm meters, flow meters, calipers, micrometers, welding, and various machining tools. The position requires apprenticeship-equivalent education and a 2-year technical degree, with a competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

• Equivalent to an accredited apprenticeship program in trade, craft, or occupation.
• 2 year technical college degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment and perform root cause analysis.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs per schedule.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation in CMMS/Maximo.
• Keep coordinators, supervisors, and operators informed of changes.
• Support production and engineering with repair needs.
• Define maintenance specs for new or upgraded machinery.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for PMs/repairs.
• Procure parts for projects or machine repair.
• Work in a team environment emphasizing safety and mutual respect.
