Job summary

Mayfield Dairy Farms, LLC seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, packaging and utility equipment. You will work with limited supervision and support continuous improvement initiatives in a dairy manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, assisting with installation, training operators, documenting repairs, and ensuring GMP and safety compliance. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade school or technical school preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
• 2–4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC experience in manufacturing.
• Experience on equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Read electrical schematics and service manuals to perform maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment.
• Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Use hand and power tools and electrical meters safely.
• Document repairs and maintain SOPs and records.
• Stay updated on new products, equipment, and techniques.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
