Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in accordance with electrical diagrams, manuals, and GMPs. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance and CMMS documentation using a mobile device to reduce downtime.

Candidates should have 2+ years industrial experience, ability to read blueprints, and skills in welding and PLC troubleshooting. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Entry Level and Above
• Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, belts, fluids, filters and lubrication
• Documents work performed in CMMS via mobile device
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment including motors, PLCs, touch screens, conveyors and welding systems
• Teardown and rebuilds gearboxes and related assemblies
• Records damaged or worn parts and reports issues
• Cleans machines and parts; fabricates parts and guarding as needed
• Welds different grades of metal for repairs (MIG, TIG, Arc)
• Trains junior technicians and operators in procedures and troubleshooting
• Completes preventive maintenance, changeovers, and breakdown maintenance as requested
