Job summary

Brook & Whittle LTD in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production through preventive maintenance, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems on production equipment.

You will supervise contractors when required, maintain a detailed maintenance log, assist with startup and shutdown activities, and coordinate with vendors for parts while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical discipline or 5+ years in industrial maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, and electronics.
• Willing to learn and attend training classes as defined by Management.
• PC literacy and CMMS proficiency.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
• Basic welding skills a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Good communication and ability to work a flexible shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance per production priorities and repair/troubleshoot equipment.
• Repair and maintain facility systems and assist with structural maintenance.
• Supervise maintenance contractors when required.
• Maintain a Maintenance Action Log per equipment for PM baselines.
• Assist startup and shutdown activities and plan shutdown tasks.
• Work with vendors to obtain parts pricing and repair recommendations.
• Maintain clean work area and proper tool storage.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
