Job summary

Calumet is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold continuous operation of plant equipment, tanks and support systems in Porter, TX. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to downtime, and support inventory and work orders under supervision.

The role requires an associate degree or 5+ years in mechanical maintenance, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work various shifts including overtime. PLCs knowledge (RSLogix), Wonderware and welding experience are valued.

Qualifications

Associate degree from a technical college or 5+ years' experience in a mechanical maintenance position.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work any shift.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job including walking and standing for long periods of time and physical lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of RSlogix 500 and RSlogix 5000 Programs preferred.
Experience with PLCs and automation controls.

Responsibilities

Maintain all plant equipment as required and/or administered by the Maintenance Manager.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tanks and supporting systems.
Respond quickly to downtime, troubleshoot the issue and minimize downtime to ensure continuous operation.
Monitor plant processes for potential failures and notify Maintenance Supervisor of issues.
Maintain work order process and complete timely and in a productive manner.
Assist in maintaining Maintenance inventory.
Work overtime, additional shifts, holidays, and/or weekends as needed per master schedule.
