Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a Tech III level technician to perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems. You will work with mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, reading schematics and manuals to diagnose faults and escalate as needed.

You may develop scopes of work for small local projects, guide lower level techs, and ensure safety standards are followed on the shop floor. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics or electrical/mechanical trade are preferred.
• Four (4) years in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls; welding/fabrication skills.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and manuals; troubleshoot and repair system faults; ability to interpret engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling systems.
• Interpret schematics, manuals, and specifications to diagnose faults or escalate.
• Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings; troubleshoot motor controls circuits.
• May develop scopes of work for small projects and assist lower level technicians.
