Job summary

Reiter Dairy, LLC seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to service production, processing, and packaging equipment, including electrical controls and ammonia refrigeration systems. This role requires high school completion and preferred trade school training, with 2–4 years in a manufacturing setting.

You will perform planned and unplanned repairs, support new equipment installations, and help train operators while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade/technical school in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc. preferred.
• 2–4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience on equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and utilities, following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret procedures, schematics, and service manuals to perform maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment and assist operators with training or troubleshooting.
• Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
• Document all repairs and required information per SOPs.
• Stay up to date on new products, equipment, techniques, and technologies.
