Job summary

IMC Metals seeks a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician in Shelby, NC to maintain electrical and mechanical systems in the production area of our manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on problem solver with PLC, hydraulics, and electrical schematic experience, plus OSHA compliance and teamwork with engineers and contractors.

Ideal candidates will train staff, ensure equipment uptime, and contribute to safety and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of electricity and electronics; degree preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA machine regulations and recommendations.
• Experience with machine operation and programming systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC problems.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures for equipment.
• Work with outside contractors for trouble shooting procedures.
• Bring production back online quickly through rapid analysis and repair.
• Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
