Job summary

Amcor in Jackson, Tennessee, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safe, efficient plant operations by maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will collaborate with production, quality and maintenance teams to perform PMs, repairs and improvements on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC-controlled systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in manufacturing, technical school or an associate degree preferred.
• Must have 1-4 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skill sets; able to read and interpret manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Report to front line leadership of Lead Technician and work as a team to meet plant goals.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvement on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC systems.
• Maintain equipment and facilities, document repairs, and ensure safety and GMP standards.
• Read schematics, measure parts, troubleshoot and fix malfunctioning equipment.
• Install new equipment or relocate existing equipment as needed.
• Assist with safety checks, audits, and proper use of LOTO procedures.
