United Soft Plastics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our Houston, Texas operations team.

This hands-on role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, PLC-controlled equipment experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and implement repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults in industrial equipment and control systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and help improve maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Work with production personnel to improve equipment performance, efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Recommend and assist with equipment modifications and process improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering and outside technical resources as needed.
• Perform equipment cleanouts and guide operators on proper equipment operation and care.
• Support facility maintenance as needed.
• Maintain inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, safety equipment, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow company safety, GMP, quality, and operating procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other assigned maintenance-related duties.
