Job summary

BWAY is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Chillicothe, MO to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment across our blow molding and reconditioning operations. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems, aiming to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

You will read schematics, work with PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens preferred), and document activities in the CMMS.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical, vocational, or trade school certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
Two to five (2-5) years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with extrusion blow molding equipment highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment according to established maintenance schedules.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, electrical schematics, PLC software, and diagnostic testing instruments.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum conveying systems.
Repair and maintain extrusion blow molding machines, grinders, conveyors, palletizers, leak testers, trimming equipment, and associated equipment.
Install, align, adjust, and calibrate new or existing production equipment.
Perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
Document maintenance activities using Shop Logix, maintenance logs, work orders, and downtime reporting systems.
