Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for coordinating OEM equipment preventive maintenance and handling internal breakdowns to keep all machinery in good working order.

The role requires a high school diploma with a technical background, at least 2 years of mechanical experience, and strong electrical and hydraulic knowledge. Independence, teamwork, and a proactive safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mechanical experience required; agricultural/automotive a plus.
• Strong background in electrical systems (wiring schematics), hydraulics, air brakes, diesel engines, transmissions and clutches.
• Excellent communication; able to work with others and share knowledge.
• Ability to work without direct supervision; service shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OEM equipment PM service work and internal breakdowns.
• Identify problems by observing mechanical devices and working with OEMs.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks and manage outside contractors.
• Minimize downtime by coordinating preventive maintenance with production schedule.
