Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to coordinate preventive maintenance on OEM equipment and address internal breakdowns. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, with experience on production equipment and forklifts up to 45,000 pounds. The technician will work 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.

– 1:00 a.m. Mon-Thu; Fri 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.), with overtime as needed, and perform hands-on maintenance across lasers, plasma/flame, presses, CNC mills, and related

Formación

• High school degree and technical background required, trade/vocational school preferred.
• Minimum 2 years mechanical experience; agricultural and/or automotive background a plus.
• Strong background in electrical systems (including wiring schematics), hydraulics, air brakes and diesel engines as well as transmissions and clutches.

Responsabilidades

• Operates and maintains facility by performing preventive maintenance and coordinating with OEM on production equipment (lasers, plasma/flame, press brakes, CNC Mill, forklifts up to 45,000 lb).
• Diagnoses problems by observing equipment in operation and working with OEM manufacturers.
• Performs facility maintenance tasks and coordinates with outside contractors as needed.
• Minimizes downtime by scheduling routine preventive maintenance with OEM or internal staff.
• Fabricates repair parts with internal engineering and company resources.
• Maintains spare parts inventory provided by OEM.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using tools and supplies efficiently.
• Troubleshoots and addresses breakdowns with OEM manufacturers.
• Documents work orders and maintenance activities in the company system.
• Maintains technical knowledge via workshops and supplier networks.
• Ensures safe, clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Contributes to team efforts to achieve related results.
